I'm Brian James Gill, a yoga teacher, father of Sage and long-time community practitioner who believes movement can be both grounding and social.
After training as a yoga teacher and spending years working in community services supporting young people and families, I set out to create a space that combined thoughtful practice with a genuine sense of belonging.
Social Yoga has grown through relationships and trust, not traditional marketing.
My background working in social care and community services taught me how important safe, supportive spaces are for people’s wellbeing. I try to bring that same approach into the studio, creating an environment where people feel seen, respected, and encouraged to explore yoga in a way that works for them.
Through our workshops, partnerships with local organisations, or community events, Social Yoga should feel like an active and positive part of the neighbourhood.
Our studio is rooted in connection, awareness, and wellbeing.
Our aim is to create a welcoming space where people can explore yoga at their own pace.
You don't need to be experienced, flexible, or part of a particular crowd to come along.
We don't promise one specific outcome, Social Yoga offers a space where you can come as you are and find what you need in that moment, whether that’s movement, rest, creativity, or community.
